Free advice
Purchase Order Pads / invoice pads / receipt pads - Add your terms and conditions to the back and protect yourself against poor payers.
Business Cards
- Say what you do, especially if it's not clear from your company name
- Put your unique selling point (USP) on there eg. Free sales and marketing advice or quick turnarounds.
- Add a map to make it easier for people to find you.
- Got a fast moving product? Add a picture to the back
- Use the back and your business card becomes a mini leaflet
Letterheads
- Make sure you're legal, if you're a Limited company you need to have your legal name on there along with your place of registration (eg. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland), your company registration number and your registered office address.
Compliment Slips
- We know it's simple advice but don't forget to leave some space to write in!
Leaflets
- Don't fill them with text, remember a picture says a thousand words. Remember you need to grab the readers attention, have something memorable, funny, cute or even shocking on the front.
- Remember what you are creating the leaflet for. If it is to bring more business in you just need to do enough to create the enquiry, don't tell them your life story.
- Don't forget your call to action eg. Call now, email now, give me lots of money now - that kind of thing.
Newsletters / Magazines
- Have a lead headline that continues inside, it gets them to pick up your magazine and get reading. Your advertisers will be grateful for this too.
- Change the images on the front regularly so it always feels fresh
- Add a coupon, people love saving money and it gives your newsletter value. This may be you teaming up with a advertiser or you promoting one of your own products.
